Eureka

About 130 miles north of Anchorage.  We made camp about 15 miles back on the Little Nelchina River and went exploring about another 7 miles.  On the trip back, the axle bearing gave way and the shaft and tire came flying out.  Had to tow the jeep back to town.

There's nothing like going 60 MPH around a corner and loosing your axle and tire, it makes the ride a little more exciting
